738 Imperial Cathay Crystal Ku Ribbon Vase
Imperial Cathay Crystal #5012 "Ku Ribbon" vase designed by Virginia B. Evans, 10"w x 7 1/4"h. Produced between 1949 and 1951, the line included 38 of Virginia Evans modernist designs, of which the Ku Ribbon vase is among the hardest to find. The openwork handles were prone to manufacturing flaws, which this piece exhibits as well in a heat fracture at the joint of one handle to base. Signed "Virginia B. Evans" in acid resist.
