A late 19th Century Austrian Imperial Crown China 8 1/8" hand painted cabinet plate decorated with a romantic scene by the renowned artist, Angelica Kauffman. The Kauffmann scene illustrates three determined young women escorting Cupid in a chariot to a destination unknown, though presumably in the vicinity of three unsuspecting young men. Cupid's bow & arrows are at ready. The border of the plate is intricately & extensively gilded, with customary minor wear to the outer gilt edge.

A matched pair of late 19th Century hand blown English art glass 10 1/2" mantle vases of opaline glass cased over cranberry, with amber cresting to the sharply crimped edges. Both vases have an elaborate applied flower trails in amber, which amazingly is in flawless condition.

A hand blown Venetian art glass console set in "Cypriot" style of seemingly magical creation, comprised of a 10 1/2"w x 5 3/4"h console bowl and a tall matching pair of 13"h candlesticks. The bowl and candlesticks are of pale pink crystal with microscopic flecks of aventurine, amidst swirled tiny "oil" spatters of deep pink and amber. All pieces are intricately ornamented with twisting ropes of aventurine crystal, the bowl with dangling glass ring handles. Salviati/C.V.M., and one of the highlights of the collection.

A superb 12"h Murano art glass sculpture designed by Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d'Arte, featuring two diving fish mounted on a whorling domed base. One fish is of dense gold aventurine shading to alabastro somerso; the second has vertical bands of silver-flecked purple somerso, also shading to alabaster. The entire surface of the sculpture is treated in iridato, creating a delicately iridescent matte surface. In fine condition with a single chip to the tip of a side fin spine.

A matched pair of William Gudenrath 11" wine goblets with elaborate aventurine dragon stems, spiral ribbed bowls & bases, each fully signed "William Gudenrath 1999". Universally acknowledged as a modern glass master, William Gudenrath (1950 -) works in the Venetian style to create seemingly impossible works of glass artistry. The dragon stem goblet is his signature piece, and among the most highly regarded examples of modern studio glass.

A 6 piece hand blown Venetian art glass swan salt set in the "Fantasy" style revived by Antonio Salviati in the late 19th Century, with ruby diamond optic bodies and clear, gold-flecked aventurine wings and necks. The master salt swan is 5 1/4"w x 5"h, the five individual swan dips are 3"w x 2 1/2"h. One swan dip has a sliver chip to wing. Comes with four glass salt spoons. Likely by Aureliano Toso.
