Finely carved Chinese figure of Shao Xing, the Immortal of happiness and longevity. Handcarved of black Chinese rosewood, possibly ebony, holds his staff in one hand and a branch of peaches in the other. A child eyes a peach of long life, holding out a bat in his hand. A deer rests a Shou Xing's feet, a crane on the other side. Eyes and teeth of all figure are inlaid ivory. 11"h x6 1/2"w at base
