Description
The Hupmobile Club was founded by the late Mr. Henry J. Miller in 1970 because he believed the Hupmobile was a great car and deserved a great club behind it. After overcoming several obstacles with the California State and United States Federal Government, the Hupmobile Club became incorporated as a corporation in Rosemead, California, in December 1970. Initially, there were only a handful of members. However, due to the tireless efforts of Mr. Miller and a few others, the club grew rapidly from a small regional club to a worldwide organization of Hupmobile owners and enthusiasts. By the end of the second year, membership had grown to over 225 members. Each successive year membership continued to grow as more people heard about the club.
