Description

The Locomobile Society of America was established as a non-profit organization in March, 1989 by a group of serious automobile enthusiasts who appreciate and value the Locomobile as one of the finest motor cars built in the last century. The founding board members are Norman Buckhart, Phil Hill, Douglas and William Magee, Jack Passey, Andrew Riker III, and the late Henry Austin Clark. The object of the Society is to establish and maintain a complete registry of the surviving cars, to disseminate an accurate history of the Locomobile as is possible, and provide technical and historical information as may be obtainable to owners of Locomobile motor cars, and to those who are in need of information. The Society is not a club and there are no dues. Membership simply entails registering of a Locomobile with the Society by the owner of the vehicle.
