Description
MACC was formed in 1979 to study the Candlewick pattern of crystal. Candlewick was produced by the now defunct Imperial Glass Corporation of Bellaire, Ohio from the mid 1930s to the early 1980s. Today replacements or additional pieces of this highly collectible glass are available only through the secondary market. Collectors aggressively hunt antique shops, garage sales, and flea markets for elusive hard-to-find Candlewick items. Membership in MACC is $12 per year and includes a quarterly newsletter. The newsletter "The Spyglass" written by author and President Mary Wetzel-Tomalka is always full of up-to-date information on Candlewick and reproductions in Candlewick moulds. MACC has over 250 members nationwide. The club meets twice a year, generally June and September, in the South Bend/Mishawaka Indiana area.
