Description

The Thayer County Museum, which is operated by the County Historical Society, has a large number of historical and genealogical documents and records at its archives library on 110 Ninth Street in Belvidere, NE. They also provide a genealogy page that lists all of the surnames they have on file at the archives. The Museum is open Wednesdays and Sundays from 2:00PM until 4:00PM and by appointment during other times. To learn more or to schedule a research appointment, call (402) 768-2147. The Register of Deeds' and County Clerk's office is at 25 N 4th Street in Room 201 in the county seat of Hebron, NE. Property and marriage records, both of which are part of the public record, are available for research at that office, and office staff will be on hand to help with any issues or with finding specific records.
