These terms are sometimes interchangable.  Technically, an Estate Sale is of items of a deceased person.  Sometimes you will see living estate sale which means the person is still living, although the person may or may not living in assisted living or a nursing home.  Tag sale offends means the sale is not of an estate of a deceased person.
