Imaging the American West: Selections from The Metropolitan Museum of Art - Albany, New York
April 9 - July 17, 2016 - At the turn of the twentieth century, works of art depicting majestic landscapes, Native Americans, cowboys and cavalry, and animals of the Western plains and mountains were collected eagerly. Through bronze sculptures, paintings, and works on paper, the exhibition Imaging the American West explores the popularity of artworks with American Western themes.
