April 1 - June 12, 2016 - The year 1916 was significant for Provincetown artists, as it was the year the Boston Globe Magazine issued an article entitled “Biggest Art Colony in the World in Provincetown”, written by A.J. Philpott. This article put Provincetown on the world map as a place for artists, filled with numerous art schools and legendary light, and contributed to an identity that endures to this day.
