BEHOLD THE MOON - North Salem, New York
June 8th - September 17th, 2016 - The elegant custom of eating, drinking, listening to music, and writing poetry while watching the moon, was practiced devotedly since the Tang Dynasty in China (618-906) and was continued in Japan during the middle of the Hein period (794-1192). BY THE LIGHT OF THE MOON: Kelly O'Sullivan / Goelet Gallery - North Salem, New York
June 8th - September 17th, 2016 - In this exhibition she evokes the shine of the moon through the use of illuminated translucent porcelain, shown in both sculptural and functional pieces. The glow is meant to remind us of connections and constants that remain despite the distances and losses encountered along our travels.
