Breaking Ground: Printmaking in the US, 1940–1960
March 26, 2016 - July 24, 2016 - Breaking Ground reveals the variety of ways in which artists in the 1940s and 1950s pushed the boundaries of printmaking. Through a selection of innovative prints as well as ceramics, textile, and sculpture—all drawn from the Museum’s collection—this exhibition conveys the vibrant spirit and extraordinary growth of the arts during these decades.
