Roadside Attractions

April 9 - July 3, 2016 - Roadside Attractions forces the viewer to slow down and pay attention to the passing American landscape. This exhibition features non-traditional interpretations of the landscape by photographers J.P. Atterberry, Tom Bamberger, Mark Brautigam, Carl Corey, Suzanne Rose, and Jason Vaughn. These six visual storytellers capture neglected or overlooked places that could exist along any thoroughfare, back road, or highway.

The roadside attractions of the 1940’s and 50’s were created to entice passersby to stop for a moment along life’s journey. Let your eyes wander a bit, take in the sights, and consider the beauty in rundown houses, the simple elegance in abandoned deer stands, or the modern design of gas pumps at night.
