The collection on view at the Bruce will feature works from Okholm Skaarup’s "Carnival of the Animals," for 14 different animals like the majestic lion, the slow and heavy elephant, the gracious swan, small groups of fish, jumping kangaroos, wild donkeys, cuckoos, roosters and tortoises.
The sculptures are a celebration of life and nature and its many intriguing shapes and creatures, all placed in peculiar and surreal encounters between nature and culture. The result is a group of bronze sculptures that combines the gracious and exclusive with the communicative, distorted and humorous."
