ROBERT LOBE: In the Forest Drawn of Metal Featuring Forest Projects, Collaborative Works with Kathle

The wall reliefs featured in this exhibition are drawn from a period of Lobe’s activity that spans over two decades.  They stack upwards into the space, some cliff-like, some shelf-like from which some mythical forest “pan” might peer down at us.  The wall reliefs combining rock and trees are often done in one sheet of metal to simplify and convey the idea of the created landscape.

Included in this exhibition are two recent works from Lobe’s collaborative Forest Projects featuring the paintings of New York-based Kathleen Gilje.
