Blind Spot Definition
Blind Spot is an area on the retina that does not respond to light. This part of the eye where the optic nerve leaves the retina is not sensitive to light. Therefore, an image that falls on this region is not seen. Generally, this small gap in vision is not perceived. This is because the visual field of both the eyes normally overlaps. Artists exploit the concept of blind spot of human experience in their art works. In addition, there is an art journal by the name ‘Blind Spot’ that publishes works of photographers.
