Catalogue Definition
Catalogue, in the context of art, is a record or an inventory of books, paintings, drawings, sculptures, or any other pieces of artwork in a museum, gallery, or any other collection center. The details of each piece are included in the catalogue in an alphabetical or systematical order. Catalogues may be seen in different forms. Some catalogues are a file of cards, with an individual card for each piece, while others may be in the form of a publication such as a book.
