Coalport Definition
Coalport refers to porcelain made by Coalport Porcelain Works of England from 1795 till date. The pieces produced by Coalport factory between 1810 and 1825 were embossed with the name ‘Coalport’. The pieces that were produced later were embossed with the name ‘John Rose’. Since 1881, the crown mark is embossed on the pieces. Coalport pieces include ashtrays, bough pots, bowls and boxes.
