Denver Definition
Denver is a word which constitutes a part of a mark which was embossed on an American Art Pottery. William Long from Steubenville in Ohio, in 1892, established the Lonhuda Pottery Company. By 1900, long shifted to the Colorado and established the Denver China and Pottery Company. The company used the mark Denver till 1905 when Mr. Long shifted to New Jersey and established the Clifton Pottery. The pieces that were embossed with the word Denver date back to the 20th century. Denver pieces include jars, vases and scarab.
