Dome Definition
Dome is an architectural component usually seen in a hemispherical shape. A dome often resembles an unoccupied upper half of a sphere. Dome structures of different materials have architectural roots that go deep into the pre historic era. In ancient Middle East, corbel domes and true domes were found in modest buildings as well as tombs. Advanced true domes were created during the Roman Architectural Revolution.
