In the context of art, the term ‘exhibit’ refers to the display of a piece or a collection of art objects at a public exhibition or contest.This public showing of art objects is also called "show" in American English. It may also be referred to as "exposition" (the French word), or "exhibitions" or "shows" (UK English). An individual item in the exhibition or show is also referred to as an "exhibit". These exhibits may be of pictures, drawings, installation, interactive art, new media art or sculptures. It can be by individual artists or a group of artists or collections of a particular form of art.
