Goebel Definition
Goebel is a symbol used to mark the products made by the company, W. Goebel Porzellanfabrik of Oeslau, Germany, now Rodental, Germany. The company was founded in 1871 by Franz Detleff and William Goebel. At the time it was known as F&W Goebel. The company first made slates, slate pencils, and marbles. It later began producing porcelain tableware and figurines. The first Hummel figurines were made by Goebel in 1935.
