Generally, hemisphere refers to a half of a earth especially either the northern or southern half of the earth when divided by the equator or the eastern or western half when divided by a meridian. A hemisphere also refers to the latter halves of a cerebrum of a human brain which is termed as cerebral hemisphere. The latter halves of the cerebellum of human brain are termed as cerebellar hemisphere.
