High relief is a type of relief structure. Relief sculpture refers to sculpture works that projects from the background though it is carved on a wall on any other surface. High relief sculptures project at least or more from the circumference of its background by leaving wholly extricated at certain parts of the sculpture. Relief sculptures are also termed as alto-relievo.
