Horn Definition
Horn refers to a single or pair of pointy projections which is a hard permanent structure, grown from the head of a mammal. The term horn, in the context of antiques, refer to the furniture and other products made from horn of animals. Drinking horns, used as a container for ceremonial purposes were popular in middle Ages. The chairs made of Texas longhorn horns were popular in the United States during 19th century. The other objects made of horns include combs, buttons, the handles of canes and knives, drinking-cups, spoons and snuff-boxes.
