Humanities refers to an academic branch which comprises of art, literature, and philosophy that are related to human thought and culture. Humanities also refer to the language and literatures of Ancient Greece and Rome. Archaeology, Anthropology, History, and law are mostly regarded as areas of social sciences and sometimes as humanities. The term humanity also refers to a quality or situation of being human.
