Oenochoe is an ancient Greek term which means a wine jug or a wine pitcher which is a major form of Greek pottery. It had one handle at the back and a pouring spout. It may be decorated or not, but normally painted. Metal oenochoe are also found. The earliest oenochoe had an S shaped structure from head to toe.
