Overglaze is a term used to refer beautifications and embellishments applied on a piece of ceramic object. It is a kind of decoration applied on a glaze. Enamel colours used for overglazing in enamel paintings of ceramic wares seems to project from the ceramic surface. Overglaze enamel colours may be mixed with potash or lime to make them fuse with the glaze.
