Pottery Definition
Potteries are blazed ceramic ware made of clay. They are made by firing clays to make earthenware and stoneware. Pottery is the name used for places where potteries are made. Potteries are soft and is brittle. It breaks easily and is porous. Potteries stain easily due to porous surface. Potteries are of mainly of three types, earthenware, stoneware and china clay. Pots are ceramic objects that can be used for daily purpose. These include plates, bowls, cups, vases, urns, pitchers, bottles, and boxes.
