Radio Definition
The term Radio refers to the radiation or transmission of electromagnetic signals through the atmosphere by which information, such as sound, is carried by modulating some property of the radiated waves, such as their amplitude, frequency, phase, or pulse width, systematically. The radio waves when strike an electrical conductor, the information transmitted can be extracted and transformed back into its original form. The term Radio is commonly referred to the instrument from which we can hear the transmitted information. In the context of antiques, the Radios of earlier periods are considered collectibles or antique pieces.
