Souvenirs Definition
Souvenir generally refers to an object kept for the memories it evoke on a person. An example would be a keepsake or memento collected by a person as a token of his visit to a particular place. In the context of antiques the term refers to the pottery and silverware such as spoon, collected by people commemorating travels or events. The first souvenir spoon in the United States was made by M.W. Galt Bro & Co. in 1889.
