Time Definition
Time is an indefinite continuum in which events occur in an irreversible manner from past to present and then to the future. The term is also used to refer to a particular point or period during which something occurred/occurs. For example, the Stone age, Middle age, early renaissance etc. We can see art form that has developed during the various stages of the history and we often relate an art form's origin to a particular period of time. Cinema, video, and animated work are examples of time based art. To obtain a sense of time in a picture or art work, the artist has to incorporate the principles of rhythm and periodicity to the art work. An artist can create an impressive art work which depicts passage of time only if the work is completed in such a way so as to stimulate a thought.
