Tinware are utensils or other objects made of tinplate. Tinplates are strong, malleable, solder able. These properties along with their non-toxic and non-rustic properties helped tinsmiths to make excellent kitchenware. 
The aluminum and plastic kitchenware used in 20th and 21st century were made of tinware in the 18th and 19th century.
