Additive Definition
Generally, an artist has only a small palette of colors, s/he uses different combinations of one or more colors to obtain a range of colors. They are two basic forms of color mixing: additive and subtractive. When we mix colors using medium such as light, we use the additive color method. A graphic designer generally uses the additive color method to mix colors. The colors that we see on a computer screen are created using additive color mixing.
