After the end of Prohibition in the United States in the early 1930s, the storage and sale of Beer was revolutionized.  The first beer can appeared in 1935, having a recognizable cylindrical shape and thin aluminum body.  Since that time, the beer can has received numerous functional updates. Older, obsolete cans have become a popular collector’s item.
