Context Definition
Context refers to the different circumstances of producing and interpreting of an artistic work. The circumstances are based on three extremely complex grounds. The first is associated with the artist. This include the artist’s interests, values, attitude, belief, education, training, intention etc. The second is the background based on which the work was produced including the beauty, geography, philosophical convictions, climate etc. The last factor is the interpretation of the work which include the perceptual, rational, ritualistic, and emotive mind-set that it follows.
