Contemporary Glass Definition
In antiques, the term contemporary glass is used to refer to the glass pieces that were made by glass artists around the 1970 period. We can see contemporary glass bowls, figurines, plates, vases, lamp shades, paper weights and other collectibles in the antique market. These are attractive and found in different colors. These glass pieces are free form. A society was formed in 1997, the Contemporary Glass Society (CGS) that promoted glass art and artists.
