McCoy pottery manufactured the figural Mammy cookie jars. American Bisque manufactured cookie jars like grannies, clowns, animals, chefs, cartoon characters etc. Various other ceramic companies also manufactured cookie jars. Advertising jars formed another category of cookie jars.
