Crown Derby Definition
The Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Company is an oldest English porcelain manufacturer established in the year 1751 in Derby, England. The company was known for its high quality in producing table ware and ornamental items. Till 1773 it was known as ‘Cerby Porcelain’. Later when it became ‘Crown derby’, the ‘Royal’ was added to it in 1890. They created wares which was thin and hard in texture, milk-white in colour with soft and lustrous glaze.
