Cyan Definition

The term cyan is derived from the ancient Greek ‘kyanos ‘which means dark blue. It also originated from the word ‘Centaurea cyanus’ which is the name of dye produced from cornflower. Cyan is greenish-blue color which is used in colour printing, photography, and painting. Cyan is synonymous with colour aqua. This colour absorbs red and turns into blue-green.
