Documentation means the collection and recording of information about an art work, monument, sculpture etc. Both photo image and textual information that explains a work of art or a picture is gathered and included in documentation. It is a set of documents that provides a record or an evidence of a work. Documentation may include any type of instructive materials or documents provided online, on paper, or on digital media. For example, user guides (can be soft or hard copy), papers, instruction manuals, audio tape etc.
