Fret refers to an ornamental design consisting mostly of geometric figures which are symmetrical. Fret may also compose of connected straight lines and narrow bands right angles to each other. Fret is also called meander or Greek Key. The term also refers to an ornament with small fillets and intersecting at right angles.
