The term harmony refers to an arrangement which is pleasing to see or hear. In the context of visual arts, harmonious colors refer to a painting which gives eyes a pleasant feeling. A painting using analogous colors, complimentary colors and colors related with each other on a color wheel – triad, square or rectangle is referred to as harmonious colors. Blue, Blue-green, green, Yellow-green, yellow, yellow-orange and orange are examples of harmonious colors.
