Ivorex Definition
Ivorex refers to plaques made by Arthur Osborne in the B. Osborne Company in England. The company established by Arthur Osborne operated from 1899, through 1965. The main peculiarity of the plaques designed by Osborne was that they pictured buildings and room interiors that were designed with a three dimensional effect. In 1965, the firm ceased its operations. W.H. Bossons Ltd. bought the firm in 1971. Subsequently, in 1980, the production of the plaques kick-started and ended in 1996 when the Bossons y closed business.
