Japanese Mending Tissue Definition
Japanese mending tissue is a technique used in art conservation. It is a handmade paper made from kozo plant.it comes in different colors and thickness. Usually, a thin, transparent sheet of mending tissue which has a color close to the paper that requires repair is used by conservators. Japanese mending tissue is strong and flexible. It is used to mend hinges, repair tears and reattach signatures.
