Kosta refers to the oldest Swedish glass factory founded in 1742Later, in 1903, Kosta merged with another glass factory named Reijmyre but retained its name. . Its various types of glass bowls, vases, sculptures, lamps etc. were considered the finest in Sweden. Later, in 1964, Kosta and Boda merged with Afors and Afors Group came into existence in 1971. The name Kosta Boda was adopted in 1976. In 1990, it again merged with Orrefors and continues produces excellent glassware.
