Mud figures refer to Chinese pottery figures of men, women and landscapes. The figures depict workers, old men, scholars and merchants. Mud Figures have glazed clothing. The head and hands remain unglazed giving a flesh tone to the figures. Mud figures, which were handmade, were the result of collective effort of the members of the villages.
