Naphthalene is a crystalline substance. Because of its toxic nature, it is used as a fumigant against moths and larvae. Aiko Miyanaga, the Japanese artist use naphthalene and slat in her works. She creates molds of objects like dress, shoes, butterflies etc and shed them in naphthalene. These works are temporary and its life span is only for few weeks.
