Oppression Definition
Oppression is a state of being unjust partial and unfair. This state of discriminated use of power is usually depicted in art that symbolizes individuals being suppressed and dominated by the so called superior individuals. During 1970, a Brazilian director established a theatre named 'The Theatre of the Oppressed' which was involved in the struggles for freedom from oppression. Oppression in theatrical art is illustrated in speech rather than dialogues that depicts power or force.
