The word orthodoxy originated from the Greek term ‘orthos’ which means right and ‘doxa’ which means belief or opinion. It is one’s faithfulness and dedication to one’s conventional beliefs related to one’s culture, society or religion. Sticking with the established traditions, beliefs, and customs may be regarded as orthodoxy.
